British Virgin Islands Itinerary

Day 1 – Saturday:

Your voyage begins by boarding your catamaran at 18:00 (6 pm) at Hodges Creek Marina on the British Virgin Island of Tortola. We’ll provide the welcome cocktail you just settle into your home on the waters of the Caribbean.

Your chef will prepare and serve your dinner on board, and you can rock to sleep this evening in the Hodges Creek Marina.

Day 2 – Sunday:

The following day your captain will set sail to Virgin Gorda within the British Virgin Islands. You’ll anchor at The Baths – an exquisite beach dotted with giant granite boulders smoothed over by thousands of years of lapping blue Caribbean waves. Swim amongst the hidden caves and tranquil pools at The Baths. Hike 15 minutes through a path of these formidable boulders to the Devil’s Bay National Park, known as being the best and most blue beach in the British Virgin Islands. After lunch, your catamaran sails will set sails for 1 hour to Prickly Pear Island, home to the Prickly Pear National Park, so named for its abundance of nopal cacti and variety of succulents.

Day 3 – Monday:

You’ll sail early for 2hrs to Setting Point on Anegada Island (Sunken Island) known for its phenomenal beaches, inland salt marshes and pirate shipwrecks. You have the option to take a taxi to Loblolly Bay (taxi cost 15 USD/pax) and enjoy the views flamingos and iguanas and the scents of native lavender. Your breath will be taken away at Loblolly Bay as you walk along its long stretches of curved, white sand beach that lead to shallow, warm and blue-green waters. You’ll head back to Setting Point to for dinner and spend the night aboard your catamaran.

Day 4 –Tuesday:

This morning your captain will depart at 8 am to sail 2 hours navigation for a stop at Monkey Point on Guana Island. This environmentally protected and secluded treasure is home to some of the best snorkeling within the BVIs. You’ll have the chance to swim with sea turtles and schools of tropical fish. After enjoying lunch the boat we set sail for Cane Garden Bay (approx. 1 hour) where we stay overnight. Before retiring for the night you can enjoy a nice walk around the village, home to the Callwood Rum Distillery.

Day 5 – Wednesday:

You’ll depart for a 30-minute ride to Sandy Cay. As you approach this tiny, uninhabited island you’ll watch the water turn from marine to sky blue. Where these colors meet you’ll have the chance to swim and snorkel. Ask the captain to dinghy you ashore and to enjoy a stunning short hike through the island. Your captain anchors at White Bay for lunch. Then your captain will make the short trip to Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke Island to anchor for the night.

Day 6 – Thursday:

At 9:30 am you’ll head to West End, Tortola (3 nm/30 minutes) and anchor at Soper’s Hole Marina for a bit of boutique shopping in equally elegant shops designed in classic British-Caribbean architectural style. WiFi hotspots are also available in the restaurants and cafes that dot this incredible cay.

After lunching onboard your captain will navigate to the Indians Marine Park (4 nm/45 minutes). The Indians Marine Park, 4 rock formations that emerge from the waters, is a part of the British Virgin Islands National Parks Trust so offers some of the best reef snorkeling in the BVIs. You’re sure to see crustaceans, sea fans, coral and tropical fish of colors that can only happen in the crystalline waters of the British Virgin Islands. We’ll sail on to Bight Bay to overnight anchor. That night we’ll anchor at The Bight, a horseshoe shaped bay at the foot of native, shrub-covered hills. For those who want to enjoy BVI nightlife try Willy-T, a famous floating bar.

Day 7 – Friday:

At 8.30 am you will depart for Rhone Marine Park (6 nm/1 hour) where you’ll be able to snorkel among an ship wrecked steamer that sank in 1867 on these shores. After lunch the catamaran heads 15 minutes over to Manchioneel Bay on Cooper Island for the last night. This beach is often mentioned as one the best in the BVI’s and for good reason – its powdery sand, blue blue waters and the coconut trees that hug the shore make it nothing less than picturesque. Fall asleep to the lapping waters of this beach.

Day 8 Saturday:

We’ll take a morning sailing (3 nm/30 minutes) back to Hodges Creek Marina on Tortola where you disembark at 9.00 am, or you might be tempted to make another round on this cruise.
