BAA & RAA Islands Itinerary

Day 1: Hulhumale’ (North Male’ Atoll) – Kuda Bandos Sand Bank or Kuda Wataru Sand Bank – 1h15

Board the beautiful Eleuthera 60 in Hulhumale’ at 2 pm and set sail on this first leg of your luxury cruise to Kuda Bandos Sand Bank or Kuda Wataru Sand Bank, depending on winds and weather. The Maldives is made up hundreds of these small, uninhabited white sand banks that gradually emerge from the Indian Ocean and cast turquoise water in their midst. You can spend the rest of the day snorkeling in the shallow-water reefs, or simply relaxing on the beach at either of these breathtaking sand banks. This will be your backdrop for dinner and overnight dreams.

Day 2: Kuda Bandos Sand Bank, or Kuda Wataru Sand bank – Boduhithi Finolhu (North Male’ Atoll) Night Sailing – 8hrs

After breakfast we sail for 1 hour and arrive at Kuda Wataru. Here you enjoy more kayaking, snorkeling and beach relaxation. After lunch your yacht will arrive at Boduhithi Finolhu Sand Bank, another wonderful snorkeling spot. At 5pm your captain will take you to the nearby lagoon, Ziyaaraiy Fushi where you’ll be served dinner. This is one of the few International Voyage cruises that offers you an overnight sail. You’ll cruise under the stars of the Maldives to wake up at Goidhoo Atoll at 6:30am.

Day 3: Shahjahan Sand Bank at Goidhoo Atoll – Innafushi – 2 hrs

Wake up in Shahjahan Sand Bank of the Goidhoo Atoll. Words don’t suffice the beauty of this crescent-shaped island. Be entranced by the warm sun and sand of this atoll, and by the manta rays that glide by in its luscious and shallow waters. After lunch we sail to Innafushi, an uninhabited island where, as you’ll come to expect, you can enjoy pristine, blue waters for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. We dine and anchor overnight in Innafushi.

Day 4: Muthaafushi (Baa Atoll) -4hrs

After breakfast, we will sail 4 hrs to Muthaafushi where you’ll be served lunch aboard the yacht. This is an uninhabited island covered in lush green brush and surrounded by such clear waters you can see the fine white, underwater sand for meters below you. Chose to take a relaxing walk around the island, swim, sea kayak or snorkel. It’s up to you. The afternoon is yours at Muthaafushi. You’ll dine and spend the night floating in these pristine waters.

Day 5: Muthaafushi - Maarikilu at Baa Atoll – Meedhoo at Raa Atoll (Local Village) 3h30

After breakfast in Muthaafushi we set sail to Maarikilu, an uninhabited gem in the midst of the Indian Ocean. Here you’ll experience this small island’s large aquatic life, including the incredible green sea turtles that thrive in these waters. At 5:30 pm the catamaran will sail for 30min toward Meedhoo settled 1000-500 years AC by explorers from Arabia.

Day 6: Kotte Faru – Vandhoo –Rasmaadhoo island (Raa Atoll) 3hrs

After breakfast, we sail 2h30m to Kotte faru, another stunning and uninhabited island. After lunch, we sail to Vandhoo, fantastic for snorkeling and island exploring. By afternoon, get set to sail to Rasmaadhoo Island, where you can visit this small, local fishing village also known for its far out surfing waves. We’ll dine aboard the catamaran and you’ll enjoy a night’s sleep under the stars of Rasmaadhoo.

Day 7: Dhoragail - Gemana Finolhu

After breakfast, we will arrive at the uninhabited island Dhoragail. There, you can explore the island’s beach and enjoy snorkeling, swimming or kayaking. After lunch, we sail to Gemana Finolhu, a stunning lagoon where you can enjoy coral reef snorkeling. We spend the night at Gemana Finolhu.

Day 8: Funadhoo, Unoodhoo, Royal Island 3h

Wake at Gemana Finolhu and after breakfast we sail to Funadhoo, a small, inhabited island the breaches the blue Indian Ocean. You can snorkel in the island’s luscious lagoon. After lunch, sail 30 minutes to Unoodhoo, where you can swim among tropical fish in the island’s lagoon. We then head to Royal Island to enjoy dinner onboard the catamaran and rest.

Day 9: Royal Island sand bank – Eydhafushi NIGHT SAILING 8h

After breakfast, we will sail to the Royal Island sand bank, a picture perfect terra firma of white sand surrounded by turquoise waters. Enjoy the seascape and after lunch we sail towards the small village of Eydhafushi to explore its Arabic influenced architecture. Dinner is served aboard the catamaran and at midnight we sail across the channel back to the North Male atoll.

Day 10: Eriyadhoo or Cuculu sand bank – 5h

By morning you arrive at Eriyadhoo Island or Cuculu sand bank (depending on weather) to snorkel. As you lunch we sail to Kuda Bandos or Sinam sand bank, again depending on weather. We sail back to Hulhumale’ in the evening.

Day 11: Disembark in Hulhumale at 7:00 am

** Certified divers have the chance to use the Royal Island Resort and Eriyadhoo Resort dive centers during the course of the cruise.
